Additional Information

E3 Christian Academy is a K-12 school dedicated to coming alongside parents by providing a God-focused education. We recognize that it is the parents’ responsibility to raise their children up according to Deuteronomy 6. We are simply an extension of their plan to fulfill their God-given calling. Our mission is to engage the students to be Christ-followers, to equip them spiritually, academically, and socially for in and outside of the classroom, and to empower them with a strong foundation for life-long success.  Our vision is for every student and their family to be encouraged in their faith, to grow in their love for God, and to further develop a God-centered worldview.

The curriculum we use is a mastery-based program.  It ensures that the students cannot move ahead until they have “mastered” the concept.  It allows for individualized learning so that we can meet each of the students’ academic needs at the very place they need to focus.  We also provide experiential learning outside the classroom walls to help expand the world in which they live through a variety of field trips.

We incorporate community service into their time at E3 Christian Academy. We believe it is very important that students see beyond themselves to the needs of those around them. We teach them to be the hands, feet, and voice-piece of our Lord Jesus Christ.  We know how crucial it is to communicate to them the concept of serving others and honoring God in the process.

E3 Christian Academy is part of a network of schools co-sponsored by the host church www.bbcpf.org and Century Charities www.centurycharities.com.  Bible Baptist Church not only hosts our school, but they support us in prayer and encouragement.  It is such a blessing to have a body of Christ who not only sees the vision but takes steps into seeing that vision materialize. We are also blessed by Century Charities who have been a financial and prayer support from the very beginning.  Their motto is “actions impacting lifetimes” and their support has certainly done that for our school.

Staff

Church Pastor: Michael Woolstrum

Michael Woolstrum has served at Bible Baptist Church of Pflugerville, Texas for twelve years and currently leads as their Senior Pastor. He and his wife, Elena, have been involved in church and charitable endeavors for more than 25 years working specifically with at-risk families including single parents, economically disadvantaged and immigrants. Michael was the first foster boy at a home missions boy’s ranch project known as Century Youth Ranch. Today, Century Charities no longer raises boys in a full-time setting, but ministers to families around the world through education, orphanages, and leadership training.

Michael also leads as CEO of an international touchscreen company he started in 2002.  Michael shares his love for God, business accomplishments, and life experiences in conferences, camps, churches, civic, and college campuses worldwide. His passion continues to be to share the love of God and to reach into the lives of students through his “God-focused, college-preparatory, mastery-based, individualized and experiential” Christian school plants. Today, he and his family through Century Charities’ ministry have planted schools in Texas, California, Oklahoma, and Thailand. He is father to Anthony, Richard, and Meagan Woolstrum plus grandfather of four.

E3 Director/Campus Pastor: Matt Hedges

Matt was born and raised in West Texas.  He comes from a long legacy of pastors, deacons, Sunday school and school teachers, church leaders, and educators.  Matt finished his education at The Criswell College in 2004 with a BA in Biblical Studies/Humanities.  Matt has worked on staff in different churches in a full-time, part-time, lay, or bi-vocational capacity since 1995 serving in a variety of roles and responsibilities.  He currently serves as the Family Pastor at BBC.

Matt believes strongly in Christian education and in the mission of E3 Christian Academy.  Working with the students, teachers and faculty of E3 is a huge blessing.  Providing leadership, instruction and a spiritual foundation that will carry students through High School and beyond is one of Matt’s greatest passions.  He believes that every student has the opportunity to make a difference in their world.  He is committed to partnering with parents to accomplish this.

Teacher: Pedro Celino

Pedro is returning as a teacher this year on a part time basis. He loves working with the students and has been extremely effective in helping the students succeed academically.  He has also been instrumental in aiding the students to see their real potential and encouraging them to believe in themselves.

Last year, he spent a fair amount of time teaching the students the various stages of writing, acting and producing movies and short videos. They worked all year and presented a complete compilation that highlighted their videoing, producing and editing abilities.

In his opinion, his greatest accomplishment is to have married his beautiful bride Cheyenne in 2016. In his free time, Pedro spends time writing books and playing with his dog, Ghost.

Administrator: Rhonda Burns

Rhonda has a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Texas and taught in a Christian School for about 15 years.  She has also worked for 17 years at a touch screen company and currently serves there as the International Sales Manager.  Her desire is to be in full time ministry but is grateful that she has an opportunity to serve as Administrator for the school in a part time capacity for  now.  Her love and passion for this school is to see lives transformed through the power of God’s Word.

Rhonda was a single mom of three children  and knows what it is like to not have the financial resources for a Christian Education.  Her passion is to reach those who are less fortunate with the gospel of Christ and to instill hope where life’s hardships have tried to steal it. Sometimes families just need a break in life.  They need someone to come alongside their children and provide a quality education that is Christ centered.  She is happy to be a part of a school that wants to do just that.

One of her greatest joys in life is to spend time with her six grandchildren from 4 months old to 9 years old (all boys)! What a joy they are in her world. She is grateful for the work of God in the lives of her family members and desires to pass on the hope of Jesus Christ to all who cross her path. What a privilege it is for her to serve at a school with the same vision.
